Franklin Edward "Frank" Powers

February 13, 1945 - June 22, 2014

Peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday June 22, 2014 at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Frank passed away. He was a true county boy born February 13, 1945. He will be deeply missed by his loving partner Hilary Hurry and his mother Gena (late Donald) Powers. Frank leaves behind his three children Christine McKeown, Steven and Frank Jr. (Gladys "Tootie" MacKenzie) and sister Jenette (Dwight) Davies of Florida. Loving poppy of Rachel, Ty and Nicole. He was very community minded as he was a Mason, Shriner, volunteer fireman and an Elk. Frank had a wonderful sense of humour, he was loving, giving and had a big soft heart. He told many hilarious stories about his youth and his friends which would bring tears of laughter to your eyes. As Frank would say "Just like that, tickety boo", he was gone. MEMORIAL SERVICE in the Whattam Funeral Home Chapel on Monday June 30 at 2 pm. The Reverend Audrey Whitney officiating, followed by a celebration of his life at the Masonic Temple, 13251 Loyalist Parkway for refreshments. Prince Edward Lodge #18 A.F.& A.M. Masonic service at 1:45 pm. If desired, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
