Bambi (Edelgard) Blanchard

August 7, 1923 - September 2, 2015

Born August 7, 1923, in Lubeck, Germany, Bambi (Eldelgard) moved to Canada in 1951. Bambi passed away peacefully at The Manor on Loyalist Parkway at the age of 92, on September 2, 2015. She is predeceased by her late husband, Brenton Blanchard. Missed and remembered fondly by her two sons, Stephen (Anne Nancekievill) in Picton and Peter(Ann Cavolic) in Ottawa, and grandchildren, Scott, Dane and Kiran. Beloved sister of Sigrune Brand-Bohm and Albrecht Hirsch in Germany. Bambi loved the outdoors and one of her favourite activities was hiking on and supporting the Bruce Trail Association. They went above and beyond on many occasions. We would also like to express our gratitude and appreciation to Valencia Logan for her companionship and care. It meant a lot to Bambi. A private family memorial service will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens in Glenburnie(Kingston). Memorial donations may be given at the Whattam Funeral Home, Picton.
