Phyllis Auburn "Phyllis" Devonshire

November 9, 1925 - May 25, 2009

PHYLLIS AUBURN DEVONSHIRE After 83 years of living and loving with creativity, enormous spirit, hard work and a bit of mischief, Phyllis’s time on earth ended on Monday, May 25th at Kingston General Hospital despite the tender care she received there. She leaves a void in the lives and hearts of her husband George, daughters Anne (Bruce) Lofting, Carol Devonshire and Jill Devonshire; grandchildren Andrew and Lisa Bell, Amy and Brendan Lofting, Erin and Lorin Crossman; great-grandson Kristof Peterson; brother Jim (Lois) Kinnear; sister-in-law Nancy Kinnear; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by brother Bud Kinnear. Many will miss her spontaneous laugh, beautiful smile, patient concern and fun-loving pranks. An accomplished artist, Phyllis leaves behind lasting beauty in hundreds of paintings hanging on walls far and wide. A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT THE WHATTAM FUNERAL HOME 33 MAIN STREET, PICTON, on Friday, May 29th at 2:00 PM. If desired, donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
